Break Free of Your Negative Thinking

I am working on a month long goal of changing my thoughts in order to boost my productivity and reach some of my goals for the year. One of the ways that I am going about changing my thinking is by writing down my thoughts in a journal every day. I sit down for 30 minutes every day and let all of my negative thoughts flow from my head and onto the pages of the journal.

In essence, I purge the unhelpful thoughts from my head. Once I get all of those automatic negative thoughts out of my head, there is free space in my mind for new, helpful and creative ideas to flow in. It has been slightly ironic to think that by intentionally focusing on the automatic negative thoughts that have slowed me down and kept me afraid, I have actually been able to break free of them.
